Here we are! The final version of Star OS 97 is finally here! I want to thank everyone who supported me, helped me, and shared their suggestions and feedback!

Here are some of the biggest new features! Of course, most are quite technical, and listing them all would be boring and VERY long 😉

  • Player

    • Redesigned player UI.
    • Added a "Playlist" button in the player, showing the last 5 tracks played and the next 5 tracks in the queue.
    • Optimized equalizer.
    • Redesigned volume bar.
    • Optimized player display on mobile screens.
    • Redesigned artwork system.
    • Added artwork effects, which can be enabled/disabled in Settings > Display Properties > Player Effects tab.
  • General

    • Added a new "Programming schedule" icon displaying the current radio schedule.
    • Redesigned general style.
    • Using new fonts.
    • Redesigned "Credits" window.
    • Redesigned "Contact" window.
    • Removed the "Neo Matrix" theme.
    • Added the new default theme "Star OS 97 SE" with new colors and wallpaper.
    • Updated Display Properties, especially the Colors section, which now allows you to select two or three custom title bar colors, as well as a custom color for the title bar text.
  • Radio
